Nashville=Cashville

Im a Tennesean now. A Nashvillian. Ive gone countree!

Probably not.

Its been almost two months. I feel like I have lived a whole lifetime in that two months. Especially if you include the trip to California in July for Melody's wedding and then to British Columbia for some family time.

After we threw everything in the truck and cruised north we settled down nicely in our little ski lodge apartment on the Cumberland River. Now that we are half way into October and its 50º out (freezing by my Florida body temperture standard) it REALLY feels like a ski lodge.

I have to say everyday has been an adventure. Im working with my brother in law on roofs which has me driving to all corners of Nashville. I also got an internship at Yamaha in Franklin. Probably two of the most opposite jobs Ive ever had at the same time. They both have been really exciting and fun.

We've also had some visitors. Matt Butcher dropped by a few nights after playing his first ever Nashville gig. It was perfect timing, we both took off downtown and wandered around exploring a city we knew stories about but didnt really know. And of course Ry Guy came up and crashed with us for some good times as well.

What else...Ruthie and I got to see Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings. As well as meet them. I won vip passes to the epic event and we kicked it with Binky, Miss Sharon, and the mastermind Gabriel Roth. Pretty epic event in my life.

Ruthie has been loving working at Centennial Hospital. She begins her night shifts this coming week. On top of our already huge transition we are gonna have to get used to her working at night. Its wild but we can do it. She is good at everything. I cant get her down to the river yet because of the spiders but I think the cold has driven them away. Heres a shot of me in our front yard. Im gonna try and her down there soon.




Well. Thats a brief update. Its cold here. Gonna be in Florida for Christmas, cant wait!
